Providing a Thanksgiving meal is more than a gift of food. It is a tangible way to share Christ’s love and remind our neighbors that they are seen, valued, and cared for. This holiday season, we have an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in our community by blessing families from Mechanicsville Elementary School who could use a little extra support.
Would you consider providing a Thanksgiving meal for a family in need?
To participate, simply select a turkey card from the tree in the church foyer and sign up for that family on the accompanying sign-up sheet. Each card includes important information about the family, including:
Requested food items
Any allergies or dietary restrictions
Special requests
The number of people who will be sharing the meal
Unless otherwise noted on the card, we ask that you provide all of the components needed for the Thanksgiving meal and deliver them directly to the family on Wednesday, November 25, so they can prepare and enjoy the meal in the way that best fits their traditions and preferences.
You will find the family's contact information on the card. Please reach out to them in advance to coordinate a convenient delivery time.
A few families have special circumstances. In some cases, the delivery date may be different, or the family may need fully prepared foods because they do not have access to a full kitchen. We ask that you carefully review the information on the card and consider these needs when selecting a family to support.
Thank you for helping provide a family with dignity, hope, and a warm meal this Thanksgiving. Your generosity can make a lasting difference and help create meaningful holiday memories for those who need encouragement most.
