Grace Christian Church is seeking a part-time Worship Minister to join our team. A full-time position may be available if additional skills—such as graphic design, social media management, and other related responsibilities—can be incorporated. If you're interested in a full-time role, please reach out for more details.

Worship Minister Job Description

At Grace Christian Church, we believe that worship is not just an essential part of our church services but a vital aspect of the life of every believer. Worship is an expression of our love for God and others, leading people into a deeper connection with Him. It grounds us in the truth of Jesus, cultivates authentic love, and reminds us of the grace and countless second chances we have been given.

Qualifications:

The Worship Minister must:

  • Be a devoted follower of Jesus, committed to living a life that reflects His teachings.

  • Have a strong theological foundation, with the ability to articulate and explain biblical doctrine clearly and effectively.

  • Be musically gifted, proficient in at least one instrument, and capable of leading vocally.

  • Possess strong leadership skills, with the ability to organize and shepherd a team of volunteers.

  • Be organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage time effectively.

  • Work well in a team-oriented environment.

  • Align with the mission, vision, and values of Grace Christian Church.

  • Demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Exhibit creativity in worship planning and execution.

Responsibilities:

The Worship Minister will be responsible for:

  • Planning, organizing, and spiritually leading weekly worship services (Sunday services and special events).

  • Creating an engaging worship atmosphere, including lighting, stage design, and other service elements.

  • Collaborating with the Senior Minister to develop worship elements that align with weekly messages, monthly themes, and the overall vision of the church.

  • Encouraging and teaching a lifestyle of worship beyond Sunday services.

  • Managing and maintaining online worship services and content.

  • Maintaining and updating the church podcast.*

  • Overseeing and maintaining technical needs for worship services.*

  • Assisting Grace Christian School with technology needs as needed.*

  • Managing the worship ministry budget and accounting for spending.

  • Performing other duties as assigned to support the church’s mission.

* Responsibilities are negotiable based on part-time or full-time availability.
