Volunteer to Fill Easter Eggs
This year we are trying something different! Grab a bag of empty eggs when you're here Sunday. During the week when you have time, pick up some candy from the store and fill the eggs! Bring them back when you're able so there will be plenty of eggs for the kids to find in April! Please bring them back by Easter Sunday, April 5th!
Thanks!

Holy Land Trip
Join us for a life-changing journey to where the stories of our faith began. This isn't just a sightseeing tour; it is a "classroom on location" led by the Dr. Mark Ziese. We will move beyond the printed page and walk the very ground where Jesus taught, healed, and rose again.
Trip Highlights:
The Sea of Galilee: Spend time in the North, visiting Capernaum, the Mount of Beatitudes, and taking a boat ride across the waters where Jesus calmed the storm.
Jerusalem & Bethlehem: Explore the Old City of Jerusalem, the Mount of Olives, and the Garden of Gethsemane. We will also visit the Church of the Nativity and the Shepherds' Field in Bethlehem.
Biblical Landscapes: Trace the history of the Patriarchs and Prophets as we visit the Judean Wilderness, the Dead Sea (the lowest point on earth), and the ancient fortress of Masada.
Living History: See the Bible come to life through archaeological visits to the City of David, the Southern Steps of the Temple, and the Garden Tomb.
Why Join Us? This pilgrimage is designed to strengthen your faith, enrich your understanding of the Bible, and build lasting community within our church family. You will return home with a new perspective on the Word of God and memories that will last a lifetime.

Night to Shine
Be a part of an unforgettable night where every guest is crowned a King or Queen! We are looking for energetic, kind-hearted volunteers to host the Hangout Room—the ultimate "chill zone" for our guests during the prom.
What You’ll Be Doing:
As a Hangout Room volunteer, your mission is simple: Make it the best party in the building!
Keep the Popcorn Popping: Serve up snacks and keep the treats flowing.
Be a Friend: Spend time talking, laughing, and hanging out with our honored guests.
The Vibe: Whether it’s playing a game, chatting, or just making sure everyone feels included and seen, you are there to provide a comfortable and joyful space for guests who might need a break from the loud music of the dance floor.
Requirements:
Mandatory Training: All volunteers must attend our Night to Shine Training Night Monday January 26 at 6:30 PM. This ensures everyone is equipped to provide the best experience possible for our guests.
Background Check: To prioritize the safety of our guests, a current background check must be on file.
If you already have a background check on file with us here at Grace, you’re all set!
If you do not have one, Grace will provide and cover the full cost of the screening.
A Heart for People: No special skills are required—just a big smile and a welcoming spirit!
Ready to Serve?
Join the squad and help us celebrate these incredible Kings and Queens. Spaces for this specific team are limited, so please sign up as soon as possible.
Sign Up To Volunteer Here - Signing up here on church center helps US know who WE have coming. You must also sign up with this link to let Night to Shine know you're volunteering.
If you can also sign up here to let us know you’re coming, that’d be great!
**The event begins at 6 PM, but you'll need to arrive closer to 5:15-5:30 PM. The event ends at 8 PM and you'll need to help with minor clean up, shouldn't take more than 10 minutes.**
Youth Ministry Vision and Update
As many of you know, our Student Ministry leadership recently stepped down. We know that change, especially in ministries as vital as our Youth and Children’s programs, can bring up many questions and a desire for clarity about what comes next.
We want to invite all parents, volunteers, and interested church members to a Ministry Vision & Update Meeting on Sunday, January 25th, immediately following the worship service.
The goal of this time is simple: to share our immediate plan for moving forward, to answer your questions, and to discuss how we can continue to support our students and children during this season of transition. Your voice and your heart for our next generation are incredibly valuable to us.
Please join us as we pray and plan together for the future of our ministry.
Baby Dedication
We invite you to join us for a special time of celebration and covenant as we dedicate the children born into our church family during 2025.
Baby Dedication is more than just a ceremony; it is a moment for parents to publicly commit to raising their children in the nurture and admonition of the Lord. It is also a vital opportunity for us, the church body, to pledge our support, encouragement, and prayers for these families as they begin this journey of faith.
Please join us as we welcome our newest little ones and cover these families in prayer.
Email office@graceva.com if you’d like to participate in this year’s baby dedication.
GCS Sharing
Join us during the Life Group hour for a special presentation from our friends "down the hall!" We are excited to welcome Kathryn Bremner, Executive Director at Grace Christian School, as she shares exciting updates on what God is doing through their ministry.

School Updates: Hear about the growth, vision, and upcoming projects at GCS.
Student Stories: Listen to firsthand accounts from students as they share how their time at the school is shaping their lives and faith.
Community Connection: Learn how we can continue to support and pray for the faculty and families right here on our campus.
Don't miss this chance to celebrate the work of Grace Christian School and see how our neighbors are thriving!

Life Group Launch
Community isn’t just a nice idea—it’s where our faith comes to life. This year, we aren’t just "joining groups"; we are recommitting to walking alongside one another as we follow Christ. Whether you’ve been in a Life Group for years or you’ve been waiting for the right moment to start, January 4 is your day.
Life Groups are the heartbeat of our church. They are the places where we:
Deepen our understanding of God's Word.
Develop friendships that go beyond Sunday mornings.
Find Support during life’s highs and lows.
Join us on Sunday, January 4, to find a group that fits your schedule and season of life. Let’s make 2026 the year we truly grow together.
Life-Size Clue
The Mystery: The Gym. The Weapon: A Mystery. The Suspects: You and your friends!
Join us for a unique and interactive game night experience as we play a life-size version of the classic board game, Clue! Instead of moving pawns, you will be moving through the "mansion" (our church gym) to gather clues and crack the case of Who Did It, With What, and Where.
We'll fuel our investigation with plenty of hot pizza and good company. It's the perfect way to spend a Friday night getting competitive, making new friends, and having a blast!
Grace Family Christmas
Merry Christmas Grace family!
We are having a family Christmas event here the evening of December 14th from 5:30 - 7pm. We are having kids and students sign up for a Christmas play we are setting up that will be a lot of fun with great laughs while also reminding us of why we gather for fellowship in the first place.
Please sign up your child if they are planning to attend and be in the play. We have been working with kids and students on Sunday mornings and would love to have them be apart of this awesome opportunity!
We will be having food and drinks provided as well as some giving opportunities and so much more throughout the night so come join us for this holly jolly night of fun!

Charlotte Retirement Lunch
Join us as we celebrate the incredible Charlotte Miller on her retirement!
After 23 years of dedicated service as the Administrative Assistant here at Grace, Charlotte is hanging up her keyboard. It's hard to imagine the office without her warm smile, tireless work ethic, and the countless ways she's supported our staff and congregation over the years.
To honor her dedication, we're hosting a Retirement Potluck Lunch on Sunday, November 2nd, immediately following the worship service. The event will take place in the Gym here at Grace. Grace will provide the main course, and we ask that you bring a favorite side dish or dessert to share.
More than just food, we want to share our appreciation! Please come prepared to tell a favorite story, share a memory, and express our collective thanks for the remarkable work Charlotte has put in.
Let's make this a celebration worthy of her 23 years of service!

Gifts to the King
As the year comes to a close, we have a special opportunity to express our gratitude and generosity through our annual Gifts to the King campaign. This year, we're aiming to raise a total of $15,000 to make a significant impact both within our church and in our local community.
Your gifts will be divided among four key initiatives:
Book Vending Machine for our local Elementary School, helping to foster a love of reading in young students.
Psalm 82:3 Mission has a couple special projects this next year and have asked for some support.
Upgrades here at Grace, specifically expanding keyless door access system to improve security and convenience.
Mortgage reduction, a critical step in helping us become debt-free and freeing up future resources for ministry.
Please prayerfully consider how you can contribute to this year's campaign and help us reach our goal. Your generosity makes a tangible difference in the lives of many.
Click here to give to Gifts to the King 2025!
Anything given above and beyond the $15,000 will be added to General Fund to help kickstart 2026 on a good note!

Liturgical Worship
Liturgy has a rich history for the Church. Liturgy emphasizes repetition week after week that impresses things of scripture on the heart of the believer and involving the whole congregation in worship. There are beautiful aspects we often overlook in our worship today that we want to take time and focus on. We won't get the full effect since we don't do this on a regular basis, but it's a tradition with beauty we can still learn a lot from.
Join us to worship in an old and new way before life groups. If you’re volunteering in Grace Kids we highly encourage you to come so you can worship before volunteering.
Prayer and Worship Night at MES
Join us Sunday August 17th as we join with other churches in our area to seek God's grace for the upcoming school year for Mechanicsville Elementary School. We need help bringing and setting up lunch. We'll be doing BBQ, Mac and Cheese, Salad, and Cookies!
